10 things to know about the program “The basic program in entrepreneurship and vocational training” at the beginning of the application


The Federal Republic of Nigeria’s Job and Wealth Creation Finance companies and Intuit Financing Inc. launched one of the largest job creation and training programs in history.

the Basic Entrepreneurship and Skills Training Program (BEST). This initiative aims to provide guidelines for the development of human capital and to protect unemployed young people from the economic impact of Covid-19. The program will offer 774,000 paid training and internships.

Here are 10 things to know about the program:

1. The application started on Friday December 10, 2021.

2. The BEST program is a Special Purpose Works (SPW) program for unemployed Nigerian youth. It offers six-month training and work placements.

3. The training program to be carried out in technical and vocational centers across the country is aimed at providing the skills required as entrepreneurs or entrepreneurs.

4. The BEST Basic Entrepreneurship and Skills Training Program will train and engage beneficiaries in the skill areas available below;

b. Aluminum profiling

D. Catering and Confectionery

e. Electrical installation and repair

F. Styling and sewing

g. Hairdressing and braiding

h. Make-up and makeover

I. Plumbing

j. Pop, paint and screed

k. Solar works

L. Tiling and interlocking

5. The BEST training program aims to immediately train and hire 774,000 unemployed Nigerians selected for carefully selected projects and jobs.

6. All selected trainees will receive a monthly stipend of NOT 30,000 paid by the FBJWC Job and Wealth Creation Funding Company subject to achieving the expected results for each month.

7. The BEST program serves all unemployed Nigerians – from north to south and east to west – ensuring that all unemployed youth from all corners of the country can participate.

8. Applicants must be between the ages of 18 and 35 at the start of the program.
