He was speaking yesterday at a meeting held by the Ho Chi Minh City Military Command Party Committee (HCMC-PC) to sum up the achievements after 15 years (2008-2022) of passing resolution no. 382-NQ/DUQSTW by the Central Military Commission of the Vietnamese Communist Party.

In his speech, President Phan Van Mai requested that at present, HCMC-MC should focus on advising the planning task, organizing technical logistics projects in accordance with the city master plan, offering consultation on investments in these projects and the active purchase of appropriate technical services. equipment to ensure national defense and public security tasks in HCMC as well as in the Southern Key Economic Zone.

At the same time, HCMC-MC should pay close attention to the national defense industry, attract more technical human resources for the coming development period. In particular, qualified graduates of universities and academies in the city should be mobilized to serve in the army.

A cooperation program with universities, academies and ministerial level agencies to foster competent human resources for technical work will enable HCMC-MC to easily assign people whenever there are vacancies in the army.

Major General Du Truong Giang, deputy commander of Military Region 7, said that HCMC-MC has successfully fulfilled its assigned objectives, effectively applying technology in the task of preservation, maintenance and management of weapons as well as army technical equipment. To continue its good work, HCMC-MC should focus on buying new ones.

HCMC-PC said that in the past 15 years of the adoption of Resolution No. 382, ​​the Armed Force Technical Task has achieved impressive achievements, including innovative initiatives to improve the quality of management weapons and devices.

In the coming times, HCMC-PC will strengthen its organization, technical system and management mechanism to increase performance and ensure timely and synchronous weapon supply to fulfill current missions under the new situation.
