Rohtak: Two books, titled ‘Jai Shikshak’ written by Madhukant and ‘Videshi Kahaniyon Ke Hindi Anuvad’ by Dr. Suresh Singhal, both Rohtak-based literati, were released recently at a ceremony held at Ashok Singhal Ved Vigyan and the ‘Gurugram University of Technology. The university’s Principal Vice-Chancellor, Professor Ashok Diwakar, said the two books were valuable additions to the existing store of knowledge.
Extension conference organized
Kaithal: A popularization conference on “Mediation” was organized by the legal literacy unit and the vocational guidance and placement unit of the RKSD College. Keynote speaker Arvind Khuraniyan briefed on various aspects related to resolving mutual disputes through PPT. He said subjects sentenced to less than three years can come to mediation. In this, the trained mediator involves both parties in the settlement process and the matter is settled with their will. Lawyer Khuraniyan said he himself solved the cases of 300 families through it. He asked the students that after studying law, they too could earn a living by undergoing mediation training with the institutions established by the Supreme Court. Earlier, Principal Dr. Sanjay Goel welcomed the keynote speaker and expressed his joy that Barrister Khoraniyan was an alumnus of the college.
Vocational Training at OPS Vidya Mandir
Ambal: OPS Vidya Mandir, Ambala has been selected for the pilot phase of the “Life Skills Training” initiative in collaboration with CBSE under the YoungWarriorNXT program by YuWaah, UNICEF and Udhyam Learning Foundation. The aim of this month-long program was to stimulate active learning and develop essential life skills in students. A team of four teachers Neeru Sharma, Simmi Jindal, Rinku Sharma and Sandeep Bhatt and coordinator Kusum Lata under the guidance of school principal Neelam Sharma conducted this effective and useful life skills program for students in grades IX and XI. Neelam Sharma commended the whole team of mentors and students for going through this program. The Director of Studies, Esha Bansal, congratulated and encouraged the whole team to put their learnings into practice.
NSS State Award for Polytechnic
Yamunanagar: The NSS unit at Seth Jai Parkash Polytechnic, Damla has been declared the best NSS unit in the state for 2019-20. The institution was honored during a state-level function held at Chaudhary Charan Singh Haryana Agricultural University, Hisar. Kanwar Pal Gujjar, Minister of Education of Haryana presented the award. Principal Anil Budhiraja received the award which consists of Best NSS Unit Trophy and cash prize of Rs 31,000. In addition, NSS Program Manager Dr. Rajesh Garg was also honored with Best NSS Officer . Previously, Seth Jai Parkash Polytechnic, Damla was also declared the best polytechnic in North India on the basis of academics, results, internships and technical standards, maintained by the polytechnic.
